Vassilis Nikolaou (Vass) spoke to the business breakfast this morning about his new venture supplying high quality Greek food, raw ingredients and catering services. Some of the food comes from the family farm back in Greece.
Vass is from Millom and taught for many years at the secondary school. He still teaches Greek.
Nearly a year ago he set up AllGreek2Me. They provide dips, freshly prepared baklava via the vibrant outdoor markets in Cumbria including Keswick, Sedbergh and Workington.
He now prepares dips, olives and other fresh products at the commercial kitchens in Millom Network Centre.
Vass has designed a collection of authentic ingredients that he markets as a hamper. This includes Kritharaki Pasta (perfect for Giouvetsi).
The breakfast group were treated to some of Vass' delicious baklava. For several of us it was the first time we had tried it.
Vass would love to launch a local deli-box celebrating all that Millom has to offer in the way of beer, chutneys, smoked food and similar products.
