Employability Courses

Cumbria Adult Education are offering courses that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. All of the New Start Courses are available as FREE FE courses if you are unemployed, receiving benefits and actively seeking work or if you do not have 5 GCSE's grade A-C (Full Level 2.)

There are a number of courses to help you reach your potential:

Employability Skills

This course covers :

  • Identifying possible employment options
  • CV preparation/ improvement
  • Interview skills
  • Completing an application form
  • Finding out about employment opportunities in the local area
  • Producing an action plan for further career developments

Learn how to manage and exceed customer expectations, communicate effectively and project a professional image.

This course covers :

  • Understand customer behaviour
  • How to say 'no' in a positive way
  • Good telephone skills
